Two Charities Saving Lives

Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation has teamed up with Motiv8 Addiction Services to install a defibrillator at its Woodbourne Road base.

Chairman Paul Healey (BEM) presented the defib to the charity at its base in recent weeks.

Helping islanders deal with their addiction issues, not only drug and/or alcohol as many would assumed, Motiv8 supports over 440 people on our island. It helps not just the individuals with an addiction themselves but also the people effected by their addiction, such as family members.

Nicola Browne from the fundraising team said: ‘Motiv8 is delighted that we have been chosen as a community access point for this potentially lifesaving piece of equipment. With many types of businesses and residential houses in the area this will be beneficial to everyone should it ever be needed.’
