All The Fun of The Grad Fair

Do you frequently find yourself questioning what to do with your life? If you’re over 35, I’d suggest a career change and/or therapy. If you’re under 30, I’d suggest the 2024 Graduate & Young Professionals Fair.

The annual festival of productivity returns NEXT WEEK on Wednesday (27 March) at The Comis.

If you haven’t been before, it’s a great opportunity for graduates, school leavers, and young professionals to meet employers on the island, see what local jobs are out there waiting to be snatched up by you and find out how best to apply.

More than 55 businesses from a wide range of industry sectors, including tech, finance, manufacturing and engineering, construction, biotech, hospitality and healthcare, as well as a number of the Island’s recruitment agencies will be at the event. Which is FREE.

AND WAIT. THAT’S NOT ALL. The FREE event also includes interactive workshops and panel discussions, providing insights into the skills in demand, emerging roles of tomorrow.

There are also opportunities to meet people who can give you practical advice on how to stand out in interviews (for the right reasons, not for wetting yourself), a CV clinic to provide tips on how to write a solid resume, personal branding titbits, and employability skills advice. Example: Though balancing a spoon on your nose is a skill, it might not be the one to showcase at an interview for Cybersecurity.

BUT WAIT. THAT’S STILL NOT ALL. They’re really spoiling you now. They’ll also have a Speaker Zone in which you can go and pet different kinds of sound systems. Wait. Apologies. That is incorrect. The Speaker Zone will feature industry experts and leaders so it’s a perfect opportunity to network. The speakers (people, not sound systems) will be providing inspirational insights on career growth and opportunities.

The event is free but you do have to sign up to go. AND TICKETS ARE SELLING FAST.

So, get a wriggle on! You never know how much this could benefit your future self.
