Bread to Brew: Noa’s Fresh Prince Hits Tesco!
Douglas’ beloved bakery Noa has made a hop over from baking to brewing with its latest creation, The Fresh Prince of Lezayre!
This New England Pale Ale (NEPA), brewed with rescued bread, has now hit Tesco shelves across the Isle of Man, letting shoppers pick up a can of ale along with their sourdough.
Noa’s already famed for their ‘sourdough baking, pastry shapin, doughnut fillin, and flat white slingin’ skills, and now they’re adding beer to the mix – quite literally.
Brewed with 50kg of bread crumbs that Noa packed off to London’s Signal Brewery, the Fresh Prince doesn’t just taste good, it feels good, knowing it’s crafted from what would have been waste.
And the flavour? Expect a smooth, low-bitter sip with hints of tropical fruit and caramel, thanks to the Strata, Cashmere, and Azacca hops.
This royal brew joins Noa’s lineup of other creative pours like SB Special, Bohemian Hopsidy, and Troglodyte Mild, with a West Coast IPA set to launch soon.
But The Fresh Prince of Lezayre holds a special crown: it’s their first beer to make it into shops and supermarkets island-wide.
So, if you’re an eco-warrior, a craft beer enthusiast, or simply curious about what ‘sustainability tastes like’, head to Tesco, grab a can of The Fresh Prince, and sip your way into Noa’s tasty, planet-friendly world.
