Commissioners Not Impressed as Marine Drive’s Frosty Sunrise Ruined by… Tyres

Published

on

Marine Drive served up an absolutely stunning frosty sunrise this morning, shimmering sea, dramatic clouds, that crisp ‘winter is coming’ air… and, naturally, a pile of fly-tipped tyres to ruin the scene.

Braddan Commissioners shared photos with a level of rage best described as ‘quietly seething but still using emojis’.

And fair enough, fly tipping is on the rise, and is a criminal offence, and the team said it investigates every single incident, especially on Marine Drive, which isn’t just pretty, but also an important wildlife habitat and a designated ASSI.

It also might come as a surprise to some folk that part of Marine Drive is in the parish of Braddan.

So yes, tyres dumped there = bad. Very bad.

Nature is crying. Commissioners are fuming. Gef is also fuming this morning.

The message is simple: If you’ve got waste, please dispose of it properly. Use the right channels!

If anyone knows who decided to treat Marine Drive like their personal bin, Braddan Commissioners would very much like a word. Give their office a shout, preferably before more tyres appear.
