Isle of Man Bank has written to customers saying there has been a delay in rolling out its new MasterCard debit cards.

The RBSI owned bank announced the change from Visa earlier this year.

In an email to customers, the bank said that there has been an issue with the production of the new cards, so it will be ‘a few weeks’ before replacement cards are delivered.

The bank said: ‘Firstly, please don’t worry. Your existing Visa Debit card will continue to work as normal. We hope to have the production issue sorted very soon, so we’ll contact you again to let you know once we’re ready to send your new Debit MasterCard out. There’s nothing for you to do, so just carry on using your Visa debit card for now.’

When it announced the move to MasterCard, the bank said it will improve services for customers and offer perks, such as access to deals from MasterCard’s ‘Priceless’ experiences savings.

New Card

When you get your new card, just destroy the old one and carry on with the new one, though you will have to use the pin (which will be the same as your current one) to activate contactless and you may need to update Apple Pay etc.
