A new operator takes over in March
The operator of the Ticket Hall and dining car Trish Hoy has wished her successor well, as she prepares to hand over the reins.
Trish and her team have run the Ticket Hall since 2012.
Since growing into running the dining car, the team have delivered some absolutely stunning food and great nights out, treating thousands of islanders and tourists to some brilliant experiences.
The best evidence for the tremendous service provided can be seen in the comments section, with islanders flooding Trish with messages of support, thanks and wishes for the future.
In a post on Facebook, Trish said: ‘We have met so many people over the last 11 years, going from just the Tickethall, then came the dining car, two carriages went to four, and we doubled the size of the Tickethall.
‘Thank you all especially the staff who have supported me during this time, and i have had some amazing support over the years. I wish everyone well, and most of all, my successor Dave who will reopen in March.’
She added: ‘New Years eve saw my very last night on the Dining car.. which was quite eventful. We have seen the dining car go from strength to strength. it has doubled in size since we first started. We have met some amazing people, and i will miss you all.and have really enjoyed it.’
