From Crafts to Casks – New TT Fest to Champion All Things Manx

Published

on

A brand new festival celebrating all things Manx – from food and drink to culture and crafts – is gearing up to launch during TT 2025, and organisers hope it’ll become a firm favourite on the island’s calendar.

The Mann Made Festival will take over the Bottleneck Car Park in Douglas, turning that end of the prom into a buzzing hub of Manx flavours and fun – right in the thick of the TT madness.

James Bennett (the brains behind MexiMann and Grill and Chill) and Andy Saunders (Licensed Victuallers Association man and owner of Quids Inn) are leading the charge, and they reckon the event will give small businesses a much-needed stage.

‘There’s a real need for somewhere that small businesses and people producing exciting new food or drink products can access the TT crowds,’ James told Gef.

‘At the moment, a lot of events are dominated by well-established names or priced out of reach for new vendors.’

He added: ‘The aim is to provide that platform at an attainable price point, without a huge financial risk. It also helps visitors and locals get a real taste of what the island has to offer.’

Expect food, drink, live music, family-friendly entertainment and enough Manx culture to keep even the most homesick ex-pats weeping into their chips.

Organisers are planning eight major food vendors, two bars, and loads of space for local businesses – including a rotating cast of micro-vendors and craftspeople.

Andy said: ‘The expansion of the Fan Park has been great, but it’s drawn people away from this end of town.

‘Bushy’s move from the Bottleneck to the Villa has only added to that. Mann Made gives people a reason to come down this end again — start their adventure here.’

The festival will open daily from midday ‘til late, and is even planning a pre-TT launch to give locals first dibs before the ferry crowds roll in.

They’re also hoping it won’t be a one-off – with more Mann Made events to follow later in the year.

Sponsorship spots are now up for grabs, and local businesses are encouraged to get in early.

‘We’re all taking some risk to make this happen,’ said James, ‘but if you’re in early, you’ll reap the full benefits. This festival is all about celebrating what the Isle of Man makes – and we want as many people to be part of it as possible.’
