Fynoderee Brings out new Manx Honey Vodka
Don’t drink it when you’re driving or riding. Obviously.
What better way to spend summer than sipping on some refreshing local booze? (RESPONSIBLY. Don’t let me find you passed out in Laxey Mines with someone’s cat you stole on the way again). And if the summer sun doesn’t come out then what better way to drown your vitamin-D-eficient selves with some refreshing local booze? Well, you’re in luck.
The team at The Fynoderee Distillery has brought out a brand new Manx Bumbee Vodka – Faerie Racer Limited Edition – to celebrate the 2024 TT.
Local artist Julia Ashby-Smyth – who’s behind Fynoderee’s illustrations and bottle labels – has created a new look for one of the firm favourites within Fynoderee’s range of premium spirits. Available during the races and this year’s Manx Grand Prix, the limited edition vodka features the iconic Bumbee Girl revving up for revelry astride a mighty, vintage Hon(ey)da Dream B-Type.
Want to know how it’s made? I knew you would. The vodka is produced by redistilling grain spirit with a few drops of pure Manx honey, made from pollen drawn by bees in the north of the Isle of Man. All the more reason to save the bees. It has a velvety soft palate with a smooth, creamy finish and can be enjoyed neat, or as an extra buzz to everybody’s favourite vodka-based cocktails.
If you’re taking a day off from riding or driving, you can do a free tasting of the limited edition vodka at the following locations across the Island during TT fortnight.
- The Fox & Fyn (Airstream trailer), Market Square, Castletown (12 noon – 11pm daily)
- Fyn Shop & Tastings, TT Grandstand, Noble’s Park, Douglas ((12 noon – 11pm daily)
- The Fynoderee Distillery Bar & Shop, Parsonage Road, Ramsey – next to the MER Station (10.45am – 6pm daily)
The Fyn team is also offering distillery tours every day during TT fortnight. These can be booked in advance on Fynoderee’s website.
Larger group bookings should be booked via email at bookings@fynoderee.com
Bottoms up. Not like that. Don’t make it uncomfortable.
