Hello old friend. Here we are together at the end of another working week. And, I must say, once again you did a superb job. Now, rip off your work lanyard and put on your best weekend activity outfit. Not the gimp suit. Come on, you know this after what happened last time. You looked so good you couldn’t walk down the street without being swamped by people. Whack on something appropriate and try one of these wholesome activities.

Pacers Week Noble’s Park Run

*Perfect for people who don’t like to run alone.

Where: Noble’s Park

Time: 9am

About: After a 2-year hiatus working on solo projects the Blue Bibs are back! Pacer Week is for people looking to improve their Noble’s Park run time with a little assistance. If you’re happy with your time (alright, no need to brag) the Blue Bibs are looking for volunteers to help pace people. Think of the power you could manipulate. You could make or break so many running enthusiasts. Just a bit of added incentive for you.

The Revenge of the Purple Nerple

*Great for those who have a head made out of metal.

When: Saturday, 2 March

Where: Noa Bakehouse

Time: 7pm

Tickets: Get them here while they’re piping hot.

About: A brand new event to warm your hearts and bang your heads (not on something). If you go to this you’ll be able to lap up 3 local awesome metal bands while also doing a good deed by helping raise cash for local mental health charity Isle Listen. *Jumps into mosh pit*

Raven’s Craft

*Exceptional for people who can’t separate their love for pottery and FC IOM.

When: Saturday, 2 March

Where: Craftworks Studio, Castletown

Time: 10:30am-1pm

About: FC IOM is looking to get some free labour out of you by inviting you to create merch with the Ravens logo on. Just kidding. It’s a very wholesome event by the sound of it.

Walking Mann Parish Walks – Lezarye

*Wonderful for people who hate sitting down.

When: Saturday, 2 March

Where: Gardeners Lane, Ramsey

Time: 11am-3pm

Tickets: £10

About: A 7-mile walk to take in the beauty of the north of the island. As always, don’t wear flip flops. 

Time Capsule!

*Gorgeous for people who love graffitiing but usually get arrested for it.

When: Saturday, 2 March

Where: Cathedral Isle of Man, Peel

Time: 9am-6pm

About: Do you fear dying and being forgotten forever, leaving no mark on the world whatsoever? Fix that inner trauma by taking part in the cathedral time capsule! Write your signature on the terracotta tiles that will be covered with limestone in the next few weeks, leaving your mark in the building for years to come. I suggest writing something like ‘I know what you did’ or ‘I’m coming for you’ just freak out future Manxies.

And if none of those appeal, I hear there’s a Live Action Role Play event of this year’s Tynwald Budget drama taking place in Cringle Resevoir. Tickets are very much still available.
