The Shared Table in Peel is on the move, but its mission to bring people together over good food remains the same.

The community initiative, which offers free weekly meals to anyone who wants to attend, is relocating from the Western Wellbeing Centre to Mylchreest Court (next to QEII) for a trial run.

Organisers say the original venue was always intended to be temporary, but have thanked staff there for helping the project get up and running.

Now, the team is preparing for its next chapter, with the new location set to host its first session next week.

There will be a slight change to the timings, with meals now served from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Despite the move, the focus remains unchanged, creating a welcoming space where people can enjoy a meal, meet others and feel part of the community.

Organisers are encouraging both regulars and new faces to come along and support the initiative in its new setting.

There will be clear signage and volunteers on hand to guide visitors, with attendees asked to use the side entrance at the venue.

It may be a new location, but it’s very much the same idea, good food, friendly faces and a place for everyone at the table.
