Town Library Launches Warm Space
It’s being funded by the penguin fund.
Ramsey Town Commissioners will open its library as a community warm space between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Monday and Thursday evenings, with the first one being today.
This is being done with the support of the penguin fund administered by the Manx Lottery Trust.
Commissioner Juan McGuinness said: ‘The Ramsey Town Commissioners Library has always served as a great community space and thanks to the Warm Spaces Fund it’s allowed us to extend the hours of operation into early evening on complimentary nights to when the Northern Local Authority Swimming Pool is providing warm space services. This collaborative approach provides options every early evening in the north for residents to seek physical or mental stimulation in a warm and welcoming environment.’
