School Dinners on the Rise: 15p More for Those Fish Fingers!

Well, it looks like the cost of living has come for the fish fingers too!

Parents on the Isle of Man were served up some spicy news today – primary school meals are about to get a 15p price bump, going from £2.40 to £2.55.

Starting from November 4, your kids’ lunchtime classics like pasta, sausages, and that beloved chip day will cost a little more.

Rising costs are being blamed, with the Department of Education, Sport and Culture explaining that they’ve had to make the change after their annual review.

With around 3,500 meals dished out each day (that’s a whole lot of baked beans), the menu runs on a three-week cycle, getting a revamp twice a year.
