Marine Drive Cliff Rescue
Crews were called to area shortly after 11.15pm after a car went over the side.
Fire crews and Coastguard volunteers worked together to rescue an individual from the bottom of Marie Drive last night.
Crews were called to area shortly after 11.15pm after a car went over the side.
The car, a red Mini, had left the road and came to rest just above the water line at the bottom of the cliff.
Fire Service station officer Tony Duncan said: ‘The single occupant of the vehicle had self-extricated but required assistance from the emergency services to get to a place of safety. Fire crews and Coastguard worked together to set up a rescue system for casualty recovery.
