Maughold Incident Resolved

An incident in the Ballajora area of Maughold that saw specially trained firearm police officers deployed has been ‘safely resolved’, according to the Isle of Man Constabulary.

Officers were called to what police described as an isolated incident at a property in the rural area earlier today (Wednesday).

Members of the public were asked to stay away while the situation was dealt with.

The incident also led to temporary disruption to Manx Electric Railway services, which were suspended between Laxey and Ramsey during the response.

Isle of Man Railways has said services are now expected to return to normal.

In a short statement, police said: ‘Thank you to the public for their understanding and assistance.’
