Person Rescued from River
There was also a car fire at a trading estate.
The emergency services have had a busy morning, including rescuing a person from Silverburn River.
Just after 10am, fire crews from Castletown and Malew and a water rescue team from Douglas station were mobilised to a multi-agency incident with reports of a person falling from a footpath into the Silverburn river at Ballasalla.
Police were able to locate the casualty and assist them to an awaiting ambulance so they could be treated for minor injuries and shock.
At 10.23am fire crews from Douglas station were mobilised to a car fire on the Peel Road at Snugborough.
On arrival the car was found to be well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.
