Police Appeal After Altercation Lands Man in Hospital

The Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident during which a man sustained injuries that required hospital treatment.

A spokesperson said the alleged fight happened around 1.30am on Monday morning in the area of Esplanade Lane, Douglas.

They said: ‘It is believed that the persons involved were speaking with each other earlier in the evening in Jaks Bar, and may have walked on the seaward side of the Promenade towards Marmaris takeaway prior to the incident.’

If you saw anyone who you believe may have been involved, or any incident within Jaks Bar, or saw any males having an argument in the area just prior to this time, or witnessed the assault, you are asked to contact the Police HQ on 01624 631212, quoting reference 97/2769/24.
