Why The Long Face?

It was all hands on deck this morning for Ramsey fire crew’s finest as a horse found itself in a right pickle, stuck on a farm gate for roughly two hours!

The Emergency Services Joint Control Room (ESJCR) got the call, and in no time, the Ramsey crew, Duty Officer, and the Specialist Animal Rescue Team were on the scene, ready to work some magic.

After a quick chat with the horse’s owner and the vet, a plan was hatched to get our four-legged friend out of this jam.

With the horse sedated to keep it calm, the team got creative with ropes and gadgets, managing to free the poor thing safely.

The horse was soon back in its stable for a well-earned rest.
