Britain’s Toughest Grotto?

Published

on

Spoiler: It’s absolutely not a tough Grotto – we’re just having a cheeky throwback to when The Heron popped up on TV’s The Toughest Pubs in Britain in the early 2000s.

Surely you remember the line: ‘The Heron on the Isle of Man, where if you come over, you’ll never leave!’.

But this December, the Anagh Coar pub is swapping its infamous tough-as-nails ‘reputation’ for tinsel, mince pies and pure festive magic as Santa himself returns for a special meet-and-greet.

On Saturday, December 20 from 12pm to 3pm, kids can meet Santa in his grotto, receive a present from the man himself, get creative at a craft station, and even make their own slime creation.

Adults are looked after too with free tea or coffee and a mince pie while the little ones get stuck into all the festive fun.

The Heron promises it will be a magical day, and slots are filling fast, so be sure to book your little one’s visit before they disappear quicker than a pint on a Friday night circa 2003.

Toughest pub? Not at all. This Christmas, The Heron is all about festive cheer!
