Locke to Make Broadway Debut

Manxie Joe Locke is to make his Broadway debut next year, as he takes on one of the main roles in Sweeney Todd.

The former Ballakermeen student will grace the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre playing Tobias, with shows starting on Wednesday January 31.

Tobias is the apprentice to the barber Pirelli who (spoiler) is murdered by Todd before being taken in by him and Mrs Lovett in her pie shop.

Locke’s career has gone from strength to strength since first being cast in Netflix’s Heartstopper, going on to land the role of Wiccan in Marvel’s upcoming Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.

He was also nominated for a National Television Award and won a Queerty Award for his role in Heartstopper.
