Saturday Night Fever Confirmed for the Gaiety
The Douglas Choral Union has officially confirmed its next big production, and it’s one that’s guaranteed to get toes tapping and flares flapping.
The same EXTREMELY talented bunch who brought audiences that brilliant Chicago earlier in the year year will be taking on Saturday Night Fever, which is set to light up the Gaiety Theatre in February 2027.
Yes, that Saturday Night Fever.
Big dances, bigger hair, and an iconic soundtrack made famous by none other than Manx-born legends the Bee Gees.
The production promises a high-energy, disco-filled night out, packed with choreography, classic tunes, and all the swagger you’d expect from a show that defined an era.
If Chicago is anything to go by, audiences can expect slick performances, strong vocals, and a cast giving it absolutely everything under the lights.
Audition details won’t be released until Spring 2026, so anyone dreaming of strutting their stuff on the Gaiety stage has a bit of time to practise their moves.
In the meantime, Douglas Choral Union is reminding theatre fans that there’s another show to enjoy before the disco ball drops.
Their 2026 production of Guys and Dolls is already on sale, giving audiences a chance to catch the group in action once again before they head full-throttle into the seventies. You can get your tickets HERE.
Gef’s hoping to get a sneak peak of that soon!
So, if you’re stayin’ alive until 2027, you’ve got something VERY exciting to look forward to!
