Herring Found Stranded on Beach
It’s likely to be predators chasing them inshore

DEFA says it is monitoring marine life after reports of fish becoming stranded.
The department said it had been made aware of stranded sprats/herring on several beaches.
It said: ‘It’s likely to be predators chasing them inshore where some are caught in the surf, but DEFA will continue to monitor, so please report further unusual events, beyond what’s currently being observed.’
