Mountain may Reopen Today
The DoI will make a decision on whether or not to reopen the Mountain Road later this afternoon.
After closing earlier this week, the road has remained shut from Ramsey to the Creg Ny Baa.
Today, the DoI has said it has staff ‘still working on the last stubborn areas of ice’.
It added: ‘The closure has been formally extended to midday tomorrow although it is hoped that it can be re-opened before this. A further assessment will be made later this afternoon and a decision made whether or not we can open it today.’
The Beiin Y Phott Road remains closed
The Tholt Y Will Road remains closed
It is anticipated that both of these roads will remain closed even if the Mountain Road reopens earlier.
