Mountain to Stay Closed
Plus other roads around the island remain shut.
Bad news for fans of driving home to Ramsey over the Mountain Road, the DoI has said it isn’t able to open it this evening.
The DoI said: ‘On the tops it is still not fit to open to live traffic. Our team will return in the morning and resume work.
‘Tomorrow daytime is forecast to be slightly warmer which should help. The current closure odere expires at 12 midday tomorrow. If conditions improve sufficiently we will look open the road earlier than this.’
A36 Shoulder Road (South Barrule to Ballkillowey)
A27 Dalby Road (Dalby to Round Table)
Ronague Road (Round Table to Corlea Road)
Beiin Y Phott Road
Tholt Y Will Road
are all also closed due to the continuing icy conditions on those roads.
