Person Injured by Rockfall

People are being advised to avoid the area of Glen Mooar after a person was injured by a rockfall.

Peel Coastguard assisted emergency services to evacuate the person just after 7pm on Sunday.

The Coastguard said: ‘The casualty had been injured by a rockfall approximately 1km south of the carpark. Once on scene paramedics and coastguards assisted the casualty back to the ambulance.

‘During the evacuation several large rockfalls happened South of the carpark. We would advise people to avoid the area for the time being.’
