Fancy Opening A Pop-Up Shop?

Published

Do you fancy diving into a new pop-up shop? Want to shower yourself with bargains? Even make a splash with drenched deals?

The DoI is advertising an opportunity for a pop-up shop over TT fortnight, but your stock might get wet. Even soaked if the weather over TT doesn’t play ball.

The former M & Co shop on Market Street is available for a business to run as a pop-up store from Monday, May 27 to Monday, June 10, but the roof isn’t watertight.

The DoI will ‘not accept any liability for water damage to stock’.

Offers of rental are expected in the region of £7,000 plus VAT inclusive of rates and utilities.

The DoI said: ‘Any offers made should include: Proposed use; Individual/company name, address and contact details; Rental offer.

‘Offers must be submitted and received by 12 noon on Friday, April 26 to the Commercial Team, Public Estates and Housing Division, First Floor Sea Terminal Building, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 2RF or alternatively by email to commercial.doi@gov.im.

‘For more information please email commercial.doi@gov.im or telephone +44 1624 685940.’

So, take a risk and hope the TT weather is like last year (stunning) or risk ruining all your stock for a few quid. Life is a gamble.
