Is the island’s drug policy doing more harm than good?

That is a matter a meeting will seek to answer next Tuesday.

Organised by Anyone’s Child: Families for Safer Drug Control, the evening will explore the impact of drugs on the Isle of Man and how groups can better protect our community.

Speakers include Ray Lakeman from  Anyone’s Child. Mr Lakeman lost both of his sons to overdoses in 2014 and has campaigned to see a change in the law to regulate drug use.

Also speaking is:

  • Jason Kew Senior Innovative Practice Officer – Centre for Justice Innovation
  • Jane Slater, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Transform Drug Policy Foundation

The event is on at 7pm on Tuesday October 10 at Loch Prom Church.
