Dad & Daughter Day with Hot Gossip & Gef
Last month, we celebrated International Women’s Day in true Gef style. We released lots of themed content throughout the day, and one of our most popular features was an article discussing equal parental leave.
It got us thinking, can we do more to help Dads?
After a little brainstorm, and a chat with our gorgeous pals over at Hot Gossip, we decided a Dad & Daughter day would be a good place to start.This event is aimed at the Dads of daughters out there, who are doing a tremendous job, and would like to do more with their little girls.We want to help break down the stereotypical parental roles. Why shouldn’t Dad’s do their daughters doo in the morning before school?!Katie Lindon from Hot Gossip told us, “I’m a hairstylist myself, so I work on Saturdays. This leaves my husband Chris to do our daughter Grace’s hair every weekend. He does a good job to be fair, but I’d love to encourage more Dads to be confident when it comes to doing their daughter’s hair!’So Gef and the incredibly generous Hot Gossip gang are putting this day on for FREE for Dads & Daughters across the Isle.Here’s what you can expect from the day:
- You can attend one of two free sessions, either 12 – 1pm / 1p – 2pm
- There will be 7 Dad & Daughter teams per session
- Hair stations & tutorials (each team will have a dedicated stylist!)
- Mini manicure
- Hot Chocolates & Mocktails
- Free trim for the girls
