New Night Aims to Give Local Comedians a Platform
Funny how? You mean I’m funny like a clown, I amuse you?
Fed up of the Manxman being the main joke the Island has to offer? Well, a local entrepreneur is hoping to tickle your funny bone in a much less nautically frustrating way by creating the Isle of Man’s first amateur comedy club.
Zeki Jeffreys is behind Gearey Comedy Club, which is set to host its first event this month; an open mic night at Knockaloe Beg Farm.
Why not have a go if you think you’re funny enough? Any aspiring or experienced comedians interested in performing are being invited to sign up, which you can do here.
The Knock Knock Knockaloe Beg Comedy Night is being held on Friday, 31 May. You can get tickets on the door in exchange for a donation to the International Justice Mission.
A casual workshop for comedians performing on the night will be held in the lead up to the event on Saturday, 25 May as an opportunity to meet each other / write / tighten up material.
