Your favourite local meals are now available on WHEELS

Save the dried pasta and rice for another time and treat yourself to some decent food  this weekend.We’re working on a full round-up of delivery and collection options, here are a few highlights in the meantime;

  • L’Experience aren’t messing around, they have released an impressive delivery menu including their famous french onion soup and beef wellington

  • Harbour Lights are offering Afternoon tea WITH Prosecco for Mothers Day this weekend, available to order online and collect on Sunday

  • Bottle Monkey are bringing kegs to your doorstep

  • Secret Pizza Co have kicked off deliveries down South again

  • 14 North have cook at home lasagne flying out the door and have some fresh tagliatelle lined up for the weekend

  • The Power House down south – Foraging Vintners and Versa – have teamed up to offer a DRIVE THROUGH, take away and delivery menu. Featuring Rhugo’s🍹

Businesses have united to support each other

Business owners Greig Davison and Claire Christian created a support group on Facebook for local businesses to share practical tips, advice and general support. They are also lobbying IoM government for appropriate support in live streamed sessions ✊There are some generous members of the group, sharing skills, resources and ideas for the greater good. Check it out if you are business owner looking for support. 

Free milk and bread for Wiltshire Farm Foods customers

The local business deliver fresh frozen meals to the elderly and vulnerable across the Island, this week they topped customer orders up with free milk and bread ðŸ˜­

Shoprite stores across the Island have announced dedicated shopping hours for the elderly. Tell your Nans, Grans and neighbours that they can avoid the hoarders on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 8am – 9am. EVF are also helping to reach the elderly with a new delivery service.And both are hiring, so get in touch with them if your current employment is compromised. 

Robinsons launch care pack delivery service

The heroes up on Cooil Road are working around the clock to keep food supplies coming  in. On top of that, they are now also offering care packages to those in the community who are aged 70 and over; those in self-isolation and NHS emergency workers.

The team at the creamery have been working their socks off to keep us topped up with dairy products which are being delivered direct to our door.So when some pr!ck hacked and deleted their FB account, the Island very quickly got them back up to a good following.

The kids are keeping our culture alive

Rather than giving up after the Manx Folk Awards were cancelled, local kids are going to record their songs so that they can be played on the radio.
