Here at Gef, we love food and drink. Pretty sure we’re not alone on that front, especially after SIXTEEN THOUSAND filled their boots with local food and drink a few weeks ago.
We are in a very fortunate position here on the island, no social distancing or curfews in sight. And although we’re not free to go our usually autumnal jaunts off Island, some local businesses are going above and beyond to create unique experiences for us here on the rock.

With 30-40 Wines and Champagnes to sample, the Wine Cellar is heaven for anyone keen on a glass of vino. Accompanying the wines are some nibbles from Noa’s Bakehouse and Robinsons. Best of all, if you purchase 12 bottles on the night, the tickets are fully refunded.

Potterheads unite! Everyone’s favourite boy wizard is taking over Harbour Lights at the Sefton and Sir Norman’s bar for a half-term to remember. There’s brunches, dinners, afternoon teas, and alcoholic potions, all with a magical theme.
31st October- Oktoberfest

While we might not be able to go to Bavaria this year, you can get a cheeky little slice of Munich in Dougie. The Villa Marina is holding an Oktoberfest event, which promises an evening of ‘non-stop music, fun and games’. To top it off, there will be an oompah band, who will play “an eclectic mix of traditional Bavarian songs and anthemic pop tunes with a funky twist”. The event is so popular, that an extra date has already been added due to demand. Prost!

What’s the best bit of a skiing holiday? Is it the speeding down the hill on a pair of skis, or is it the drinks at the chalet after?
