Peel Crash Was Suspected Medical Episode

Police have said that the driver involved in a crash outside Peel Police Station was taken to hospital last night as it was suspected they had a medical episode.

A section of Derby Road in Peel was shut for around two hours as an investigation took place.

Pictures taken at the scene appeared to show a van which had mounded the pavement and hit the police station wall.

The road was closed shortly after 9pm, and reopened at around 11pm.

Due to the incident taking place next to the Peel Town Hall Bus Stop, buses entering Peel via Albany Road were rerouted.

While the section of Derby Road was closed, they turned right and followed an alternative loop, heading up to Ballawattleworth, down Peveril Street and back up Church Street.
