Nights & Weekends ltd has submitted plans to convert a former beauty salon into a food and drink business with outdoor seating.
The plans are the brainchild of Jamie Lewis and Drew Fleming, of Extra Fancy.
If planning permission is granted (and the courts approve alcohol licensing etc) the business aims to employ three full-time and three part-time members of staff.
The application is for the former salon on Nelson Street.
Drew said: ‘We’re genuinely thrilled by the prospect of expanding the Extra Fancy Ltd portfolio. Jamie and I are buzzing to introduce our new concept to Douglas and the island, and we hold the humble belief that it will help fulfil a notable gap in the Manx market. We can’t wait to share our passion and vision with everyone, and hope that it will be warmly received.’
Despite reports elsewhere, the business intends to open from 9am to 1am, not 9am to 1pm.
