Doubting Thomas
Mr Thomas was dismissed by Alf Cannan on Sunday evening.
Chris Thomas has resigned as chair of the Housing and Communities Board, before telling Tynwald he has no confidence in the Chief Minister.
Mr Thomas was dismissed by Alf Cannan on Sunday evening.
During a wild period in Tynwald, Mr Thomas and Mr Cannan tore strips off each other as their break up spilled over into the public realm.
Mr Cannan was asked about Mr Thomas’ role as chair of the board, only to be told that he does stay in place.
However, Mr Thomas rose from his seat and told Tynwald that he was resigning from the board so he could ‘speak more freely’ on the topic. He added that he does not have faith in Mr Cannan or the Council of Ministers.
Tim Glover, who previously resigned from the DoI, said he had no faith in Mr Cannan’s administration, saying he had even less faith in it than he did in the DoI when it was run by Mr Thomas.
