Early Start for Committee
The headline act is CURA CEO Ivan Kiely.
The Public Accounts Committee is back in action this morning, with the show getting underway at 8am.
Focussing on the cost of living crisis, the PAC is to examine the support packages which are due to go before Tynwald on Thursday.
Kicking off the show at 8am is Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson and interim chief financial officer David Catlow.
Second billing goes to Manx Utilities chair Rob Callister, CEO Philip King, finance director Simon Clague and head of customer billing Andrea Littlejohns.
At 9.30am, the headline act is CURA CEO Ivan Kiely.
PAC chair, Juan Watterson SHK, said: ‘With inflation on the rise and energy costs a big proportion of that, the PAC is holding a hearing on the government response and the cost to the public purse. The PAC brings together experience across finance, economic, social and infrastructure policy.
‘This important subject has significant consequences for everyone on the island, so a timely opportunity to ask the important questions is essential for Government accountability.’
