Housing Committee Wants to Hear Your Experiences

Chaired by SNHS student Alex Cowley, the committee is focussing on several issues including the First Time Buyers Scheme

A Tynwald committee made up of Manxies aged 15-24 wants to hear young islander’s experience of finding somewhere affordable to live.

The Youth Select Committee wants like to hear from anyone with views on the support available for young people to find ‘a suitable and affordable place to call home’ in the island.

Chaired by SNHS student Alex Cowley, the committee is focussing on several issues including the First Time Buyers Scheme, the mid-rent housing project, and affordable housing policies,

It is also looking atr egulation of private rented housing (standards and rent), regulation of and access to public sector housing and what progress has been made with the recommendations of the Select Committee on Accommodation for Vulnerable Young People.
