Join us in Grilling Ministers
Our fringe event to the gov’s conference.
Anyone who knows Gef knows two things about us, firstly we’re a bit obsessed with Manx politics and secondly, we love a party.
Which is why when we heard of the gov conference we thought we could sprinkle it with our own unique brand of political commentary and general ridiculousness.
Which is why we bring you (drum roll please) Gef’s Political Party, live from the Villa Marina’s Promenade Suite.
Intended for people who can’t get to the conference itself, or who fancy a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere when grilling your ministers, our fringe event is due to be held next Tuesday, on the first evening of the gov’s conference.
Hosted by Gef’s Sam Turton and Business 365’s Paul Speller, they’ll be looking backwards, forwards, upwards and downwards at the goings on in Manx politics since last year’s General Election.
Throughout the evening, they’ll be joined onstage by Chief Minister Alf Cannan, Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan and Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson.
Once Sam and Paul have had a quick natter with the ministers, it is over to you to ask questions on whatever topics you want to discuss, from the cost of living to cannabis and housing to what you’d like to see on the island to make it somewhere you’d want to stay and work.
Register for your free ticket here. Doors open 5.30pm and yes, the bar will be open.
