New Captain Appointed

Farmer Peter Quayle has been accepted the role of Captain of the Parish of Malew.

He replaces Roy Gelling who died last November.

A well-known member of the farming community, Mr Quayle runs Ballagraingey Farm with his wife Sheila. He is also the auctioneer for Central Marts and his family runs the Glenlough Farm Campsite.

Mr Gelling had served as Captain of the Parish for 27 years.

Mr Quayle will be sworn in by Sir John Lorimer at Govt House later this month.
