Pool Report to Surface

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover has said that the review into the island’s swimming pools will be available this week.
The report was ordered by DESC Minister Julie Edge after issues were identified at the Southern Swimming Pool.
Having been ordered in the spring, CoMin has had the report since September. However, in November, Mr Glover’s constituency colleague Jason Moorhouse said: ‘Earlier this week we were informed: the swimming pool report did not provide the information that the Council Of Ministers wished to see, so it will not be made public until additional information has been provided.’
In a post on Facebook, Mr Glover said he ‘wasn’t getting replies regarding Swimming Pool Report to emails sent over past weeks’ so had again written to ministers and even submitted an FoI request for the report.
He said that having submitted his FoI, he received an email, but didn’t say who from, which said: ‘The report will be available before the end of the week for Tynwald.’
This will inevitably lead to questions about why a member of Tynwald has to try to use the FoI system to access a report that could have a dramatic impact on his constituency and the wider island.
