Squeezed From Both Sides

As a single person, working, paying a mortgage there has been no help at all, squeezed from the bottom with food prices, mortgage rates, fuel increases.

Squeezed from the top, no pay rise in real terms for the last 10 yrs (in fact just been told salary will be reducing) UK have all had help with increase in fuel, single person households get a 25% reduction in their rates, single households here pay the same rates as a house of five people next door. 

I know a lot of people who earn more than double my salary and are definitely not struggling but have a child at home who got help last time around.

Seriously considering moving off island atm.

This morning, as with yesterday we are giving over Gef to you, our readers.

We will be running a series of articles which reflect the challenges people on our island are already facing ahead of a a rise in fuel bills and others costs heading into the winter months.
