In a post on social media, the authority the group would help ‘explore and resolve issues faced by disabled people and their families and carers in accessing the the town by car, in order to better formulate future arrangements’.

It added: ‘You don’t need to be a Blue Badge holder and if you don’t want to join the group but have an issue to raise, please let us know about it. Whilst this forum is aimed at those who use a car to visit the town, we would also welcome feedback from public transport users.’
