What is the Reality of Electric Cars?
The meeting starts at 7pm at Loch Prom Church.
With the gov introducing a ban on registering new fossil fuel cars on the island from 2030, it seems that we are all heading for a future of electric cars.
However, there is a sizeable portion of society who oppose this move, or at least say they should have a choice in what they can drive.
Tonight the Manx Peoples Community Support group is holding a meeting, with a presentation by Julian Barton on the subject of ‘the reality of electric vehicles’ which organisers say will look at production, usage, economics and disposal.
A spokesperson for the group told Gef: ‘Its a question of choice, and the fact that we could be limited to only being able to buy electric vehicles, which will limit our freedoms, please come come along to the presentation, if you have any questions they would be very welcomed and answered in respect.’
The meeting starts at 7pm at Loch Prom Church.
