Tynwald members visited the Houses of the Oireachtas in Dublin
President of Tynwald Laurence Skelly has met with the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins.
Mr Skelly was one of several Tynwald members who went on a study visit (class trip) to Dublin last week.
Uachtarán Higgins posted on Twitter (X) to say Eaghtyrane Skelly popped in ‘on a courtesy call at Áras an Uachtaráin’.
Tynwald members visited the Houses of the Oireachtas in Dublin to learn about committee work, gain a broader understanding of current issues of mutual concern and for newer members to become acquainted with the work, history and functioning of the Houses of the Oireachtas.
The travelling partying included Mr Skelly, MHKs Rob Callister, Ann Corlett, Tim Glover and Stu Peters, as well as MLCS Paul Craine, Dawn Kinnish and Rob Mercer.
