Corinthians Claim Cup

Corinthians won the twenty fourth Canada Life sponsored Flood-lit Cup final for a record tenth time at the Bowl on Sunday, defeating Peel 2-1 in extra-time.
After a goal-less first half, Becky Corkish’s second half strike gave the westerners the lead, Erin Sells equalised for the Ballafletcher side six minutes later to make it 1-1.
With the scores level at full-time, the final went into extra-time, Casey Halsall scoring for the Whites in the first half which proved to be the winner.
It was also the first time a team had won this trophy three times in a row.
