Jones Takes the Wheel

Tuesday morning saw a bright (well it was pitch black) and early start for FC Isle of Man as new gaffa Paul Jones took training.

Jones has replaced Chris Bass as interim manager after the latter left the club, which he guided to promotion last season, on Monday night.

As well as somewhat new face to the casual fan, there was also a welcome sight for Ravens fans as Lee Gale and Dan Simpson, who have have spent some time on the physio’s table in recent weeks, were snapped in training.

This weekend see’s Jonesy’s first test in the hot seat as FC Isle of Man travel to Holker Old Boys in the FA Vase.

The last time the two sides met, the Ravens won 2-1 in the First Division Cup semi-final. FC Isle of Man would of course later go on to win the final and claim their first knock-out trophy to sit alongside their play-off winning triumph.
