Govs Win Walking Double
The Walking Football league starts up in January

Governors Athletic have won the IOMFA Walking Football league and cup double, beating St John’s 2-1 in the final.
With the game tied at 1-1, club chairman Karl Hunter scored the winner for Govs, the only Manx club with an England player in its ranks.
Hunter actually scored both goals in the final, securing a league and cup double for the side.
After the final, the FA said: ‘Congratulations to both sets of players for a very close & competitive game & thank you to Referee Kevan Maitland for officiating.’
