A Manx teenager has won his first professional Thai boxing bout.

James Weight, 18, has been training with Jones MMA and Fitness for three years.

Having had three amateur fights in the UK, James ravelled to Thailand with Niayl Jones for the fight.

Niayl said: ‘James fought against an aggressive and more experienced fighter but managed to control the distance of the fight and use his kicks to win at the end of the 5 round contest on the judges scorecards.’

James intends to stay in Thailand for six months to continue fighting and improving.
