Let’s Play Darts!

Darts players from across the British Isles will descend on the island this weekend for the annual Islands International event.

The Isle of Man Darts Organisation is hosting the 2024 running of the competition, which sees teams from the island, Guernsey, Jersey and the Republic of Ireland battle is out at The Empress Hotel in Douglas.

After a hugely successful event in Guernsey 12 months ago, the island will welcome the visitors for what should be a cracking weekend of darts.

The main event throws off at midday on Saturday, January 27, when the Isle of Man women’s team will face Guernsey and Jersey begin against last year’s winners the Republic of Ireland Women in a seven-a-side singles match.

The men’s competition then gets under way at 3pm with the same teams going head to head.

Day one will conclude with Isle of Man women facing their counterparts from Jersey at 6pm, before Guernsey take on the Republic of Ireland.

Day two on Sunday (January 28) will begin at midday with the men’s matches, before the remaining women’s fixtures take place at 3pm and the final set of men’s at 6pm.

The event is free to enter and open to all.
