With registration and training still open for this year’s TT, Government House has announced Sir John and Lady Lorimer have signed up.
A keen motorbike fan, Sir John donned his leathers last year for a lap of the course with icon Milky Quayle.
In a post, Government House said: ‘His Excellency and Lady Lorimer recently completed their online TT Marshal training, and are looking forward to volunteering over the festival.’
With the TT reliant on marshals, who come from across the world, the TT Marshals Association is always looking for new volunteers.
The TTMA provides a range of resources and hands-on training for all their registered marshals and all new TT marshals must watch the introductory film before being place out on the course.
