New Women’s Team on Horizon?

Michael United is gauging interest as it looks to set up a women’s team.

There are currently six women’s teams on the island playing weekly in the Canada Life Women’s League

The club said: ‘If any girls are interested in starting as a new player or for any returning ex players are interested please message the Michael United page so we can gauge numbers of interest and work as a club to create a side.’

The FA has shown its commitment to trying to grow the women’s game on the island, including the appointment of Stevie Mallon and Dani Foster as equal game ambassador and women and girls’ community champion.
