Racing Red Flagged after 5 Minutes

Having only got underway just after 1pm, today’s MGP qualifying has been red flagged.

The session lasted barely five minutes.

Organisers tweeted to say that the session had been halted ‘due to deteriorating weather conditions’.

A statement said: ‘Due to deteriorating weather conditions and in order to minimise disruption to the public the Clerk of The Course has made the decision to cancel the remainder of today’s qualifying session. The roads opening process will begin shortly and a revised schedule for tomorrow will be issued in due course.’
